Marcus Stoinis (born August 16, 1989) is a powerful Australian all-rounder known for his aggressive right-handed batting and handy right-arm medium pace. He has scored over 7,000 runs and taken more than 200 wickets in T20 cricket. A member of Australia’s 2023 ODI World Cup-winning squad, he hit his maiden IPL century (124* off 63) for Lucknow Super Giants in 2024. In February 2025, he announced his ODI retirement to focus on T20 cricket.
In 2026, Stoinis captained the Melbourne Stars in the BBL and played for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL. He delivered match-winning performances for Australia in the 2026 T20 World Cup, including 67* and 3/19 against Oman. For PBKS, he smashed 62* off just 22 balls against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026, earning Player of the Match honors. His ability to finish games and contribute with the ball makes him a vital asset in T20 cricket worldwide.
