The team is owned by GMR and JSW Group. In 2025, under captain Axar Patel, they finished fifth with seven wins, missing the playoffs. Axar continues as captain in 2026 with a revamped squad including KL Rahul, David Miller, and Nitish Rana. They began the season with a six-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants on April 1.
