Ravichandran Ashwin is an Indian off-spin bowler and right-handed batter who signed with the San Francisco Unicorns for the 2026 Major League Cricket (MLC) season, becoming the first capped Indian player to join the league.
Born September 17, 1986 in Chennai, India, the 39-year-old stands 188 cm tall and bowls right-arm off-break with his signature carrom ball variation. A 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy winner, Ashwin retired from international cricket in December 2024 with 537 Test wickets—seventh-most all-time—plus 156 ODI and 72 T20I wickets.
